Donald Trump did the right -by freeing Ross Ulbricht

Technically, Donald Trump broke his campaign promise by not releasing the founder of the Silk route, Ross Ulbricht, the first day of his presidency. (No, the day of the inauguration is not “zero day”). But as I explained in my previous shot, I did not expect a literal forgiveness of the first day anyway. Even day two exceeds my expectations. Trump delivered, and I am very happy that he has done it.

When I first heard about Silk Road in early 2013, I immediately intrigued me the concept of buying and selling drugs anonymously online. To this day, I believe that Darknet markets are the best intermediary step before the end of the drugs: eliminates the distributors of the corners, while providing users with a certain level of quality guarantee through A public qualification system.

Discovering Silk Road was also how I first learned about Bitcoin. I started writing about the digital currency a few months later, and I’m still in that today. In a way, I owe my career to Ulbricht.

That Ulbricht was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison was a spontaneous abortion of justice in my opinion. Even if you think it is guilty of everything that has been convicted (all non -violent crimes), more than a decade after bars should be long enough.
Without a doubt, I don’t think Trump really worries Ulbricht; He could have released him during his first term if that were the case. And Trump certainly does not intend to end the war against drugs; In any case, he is about to intensify it by designating posters to be terrorist organizations and impose the death penalty on drug traffickers. Trump promised to forgive Ulbricht because that would benefit him politically, but for his credit, he fulfilled his word.

Ross is finally free. Well done, President Trump and all who helped this happen.
