The rapid actions of four “band dads” trained tactically helped prevent a larger tragedy after demolishing an active shooter who opened fire in a band competition in a high school in Texas.
The Pasadena Police Department confirmed that Dennis Brandl, 83, was accused of aggravated assault with a mortal weapon after he allegedly opened fire in the competition of the band of a local secondary school.
Around 6 PM on Sunday, the Police, together with the Independent School District of Pasadena and the Angelton Independent School District, said that an old man identified as Brandl entered the entrance of the auditorium after a battery line competition. The authorities said he wore a gun and fired it.
According to Angelton Isd’s angel, he hit a door and another hitting a 26 -year -old boy on his shoulder.

The district said the victim is a percussion technical consultant for Angleton High School and was taken to a Houston hospital, where he never lost knowledge and is expected to recover completely.
Moments after shooting the weapon, Brandl was approached by a father who attended the event.
Pasadena Isd police, a civilian and several good Samaritans immediately arrested the suspect, confirmed the school district.

Trevino and Curow served for 13 years, and Castillo served for four. Sánchez has worked for the Houston Police Department for 32 years.
“As soon as everyone shouted and shouted, shot, Joe and I looked at each other and ran directly to the door. When we entered, Polo and Abram were just behind us like a team’s father team,” Curow told Fox 26 .

The four men restricted Brandl until the police arrived at school.
“I think anyone with our collective background would do it only outside of nature,” said Trevino.

“We are grateful for the brave citizens and the officers who were in the security scene in the game and took a step forward to stop the shooter and avoid any possible violence,” Pasadena’s police wrote in a statement on their Facebook page .
The Houston Police Department praised Sánchez and thanked him for this selfless act.
“When he hit the danger, HPD sergeant Joe Sánchez did not hesitate,” the department wrote in a statement about X.
“While attending a band competition at a Pasadena school, Sergeant Sánchez was among those who quickly took a step forward to protect lives. This month, marks 33 years with HPD. We are grateful for their service.”
The school district said that Brandl was not affiliated with the band’s contest, and that it is currently being investigated why he was on the campus.

Police said Brandl said that someone was being persecuted by someone and that he feared that he and his wife were killed.
He is currently stopped without bail.
