The US army is flying surveillance planes along the southern border with Mexico to collect intelligence and carry out recognition, according to US sources of defense familiar with border operations.
To Spy U-2 airplanes have joined by the P-8a Peeidon plane and are flying along the border.
The planes of the P-8a Marina and the U-2 Air Force have been deployed on the border since President Donald Trump issued an executive order of the first day that declares a national emergency there, and has been flying around an exit by day.
It is said that Fox News is not the first time that the United States has flown this type of surveillance along the border.

It is not clear if the plane flies in the Mexican airspace or if you need to be in the Mexican airspace to carry out surveillance flights.
“I cannot discuss the specific routes/flight routes, but the plane flies in support of a common problem for our two sovereign nations,” said Fox News Air Force spokesman. “We respect Mexico’s sovereignty. We do not need the permission of another nation to fly in international airspace.”

The Navy describes its P-8 Poseidon as a “maritime patrol of various missions and recognition planes that perform long-range anti-submarine war, war on surface, intelligence, surveillance and recognition.”

There have been discussions in the Pentagon about how to ensure the public that spy airplanes are not gathering intelligence in US citizens, according to Fox News. If the aircraft inadvertently collects Intel in American citizens who can live on the border or are crossing at legal control points, operators must erase such data.
