Ross is now free. I predict that this will be the only good thing about this administration in the great scheme of things. The reasons behind this forgiveness were purely political, but regardless of that, I am incredibly happy to see Ross gathered with his family and his loved ones. Even taking all the accusations against him in Prima Facie, both those who are really accused and those who do not, Ross, have undoubtedly fulfilled their time.
The real murders and rapists serve a small fraction of the sentence that was imposed against Ross, even after multiple crimes in some cases. His sentence was completely political, and in no way proportional to the positions filed against him. Gravity was very high for one reason: to give an example.
He is not the only example of governments that have tried to do since 2013. The Samourai wallet team is currently under house arrest waiting for trial to organize the backend for a 100% self -odial service. Roman Sterlingov is in jail to execute a centralized mixer, without further evidence than the defective blockchain heuristics. The case of Tornado Cash has developers who deal with cases and time in jail in multiple jurisdictions.
All this goes far beyond the pale of what happened to Ross, in terms of legal position. Ross’s judgment was incredibly disproportionate, but the legal basis in itself for these other cases is non -existent. They loaded them anyway. Some of them condemned them anyway. These people are sitting in jail, just like Ross, anyway.
The government will not stop making examples. It doesn’t matter that Trump enjoys the benefits of non -regulated monetary extraction possible in this space, no matter that Wall Street and DC see the value they can take advantage of, none of that is important.
These power runners and figures of figures realize that they can configure a ruin or crazy money of the economy that is being built here, nothing changes. It does not make them fans of privacy. It does not make them fans of true sovereignty for the individual. Does not make them fans of in fact Free markets that do not serve corporate interests preferably.
We need tools to facilitate all these things, but building them means that it is a potential objective.
If these things really care, you know this is not over. A man who was unjustly imprisoned is free, and that is something incredible. He can see his parents again, his wife, his friends, and that is really an invaluable achievement.
But this is not over. Not even. The music lit, the people changed their chairs and stopped again. But it is still the same game that is played, and we cannot lose sight of that.
