The son of the current president two days ago on Twitter told People that it is time to add Ethereum to his balances. It is amazing to see this, given what this cycle for Ethereum represents.
For years People have been predicting the result we are seeing this cycle. The case of dominant use of Ethereum has been as a platform to issue other assets, and the creation of applications focused on assets other than Ether himself. This became the dominant use of the network has obvious implications for the need for the Ethereum network to operate these other applications and assets.
Bitcoiners have consistently indicated this, and predicted that other cheaper and more centralized networks with the same functionality would eventually obsolete Ethereum, since the main value proposal of the network in the market has proven to be Ethereum or Ether. That is exactly what we see that it develops at this time with the absorbent activity of Solana de Ethereum, for everything, from Memecoins to Dexes now.
This is not a new thesis, this is not an idea of novel niche hidden in daylight, it is something predicted aloud for half a decade or more. However, President’s son “orange” is publicly declaring that it is time to add eth.
I think this should, in a very crystalline way, demonstrate that none of Trump’s families or the new administration is “with orange batteries” at all. Everything that has been shown is the opportunity to earn money, and their incentives will continue. That realistically leads to shit.
Shitcoing is the most profitable thing in the short term in this space. They will follow the way to easy money. I think this is the cold and hard reality that some bitcoiners do not want to accept, people in most cases are not better than their incentives. We are not going to have some kind of great spiritual “awakening” in the government. We are only going to see the incentives that we have seen in multiple cycles on a larger scale than ever before.
The surprising thing for me is how so many bitcoiners thought that putting our nose in the government would go differently. We opened the door and shit was dragged behind us.
