Officially are 23 days in the regular hockeyland season. Only 23. And everywhere, uncertainty and suspense are still very high in many corners.
A look at the parity chain in Div. 1 State title career puts the brain in a blender, and the term “game of anyone” is in a night exhibition among coaches, for a good reason. Div. 4 also seems open. The current power classification for div. 1 and div. 2 girls prepare us for possible chaos in the tournament time, and the next two weeks should reveal more about brass between div. 2 and div. 3 children.
Ah, and 30 League/Conference title races are still separated by three points or less, with half of them going down to the cable for three or more equipment.
Among those league races, tournament implications and important regular seasonal tournament still ahead, there is much to take into account for the next 23 days. The crystal ball cannot highlight them all, there are too many. But we can share most of them while we still piercely increase the percentage of victories to more than .700, even as unlikely as it seems.
Last week marked the first time had approximately the same success rate here two weeks in a row, and of course it is when we reached a mediocre brand. Float around .500 will not cut it.
Last week record: 7-8-1
General Registry: 48-36-6 (.569)

Guys
WEDNESDAY
Tewksbury in Concord-Carlisle, 4:15 PM-Cada Confrontation of the League in the race of three teams for the title MVC/DCL II is high risk, especially among the large fish braces for the title. The Redmen and the Patriots are three points from the leader Waltham, and joined together in their first confrontation. Between the career of the League and Div. 2 Implications of the state tournament, this is an essential monitoring.
THURSDAY
BC High in Xaverian, 7 PM – Conference clashes are running out, but Xaverian is still available to the crown by three points for the preparation of St. John. Greater two points on the line against a hard opponent.
SATURDAY
Norwood in Dedham, 11:30 AM-Dedham has 9-1 since he dropped his first two games against Medfield (8-1) and Norwood (2-0), and now he sees those two again on Wednesday and Saturday. Norwood, Westwood and Didham are tied at the top of TVL with 12 points entering Wednesday.
Hingham in Pope Francis, at 2 pm – two of the best teams in the state, this is an opportunity for them to distinguish even more before starting the game of the tournament. Very well it could be a div. 1 final view of the State, although parity will surely challenge it in March.
Stoneham in Burlington, 2:15 pm-líderes of the Liga Middlesex League clash for a rematch of a previous 2-1 battle that Stoneham won.
Nauset in Scituate, 7:50 pm: a thriller of the ICO Cup left us wanting more between these two, and we obtain it before div. 3 The state tournament begins. The Warriors are the favorites at this time, but the sailors have the opportunity to demonstrate that they are the team to win in their place as a partner of power. Nauset undefeated occupies the number 1 in the Miaa power ranking, while Scituate is number 4.
SUNDAY
Reading against Arlington, 4 PM (Bentley): As if two clashes between these two in the regular season were not enough, they treated us with another round in the Ed Burns Coffee Bot tournament. A trip to the Doherty final in Tssons is at stake in Bentley.
Canton vs Marshfield, 2:20 pm (Rodman Arena): Another exciting cafeteria semifinal, is in the Brinn division. The Bulldogs (12-1-1) have not lost from the first game and seem to be clicking on all gears at the end of the season. Marshfield (9-4-1) set up the impulse of a 9-1 victory over Norwood and gets a rematch with Dixbury on Wednesday.
GIRLS
WEDNESDAY
Sandwich in Falmouth, 5 pm – Ronda 2 of the unofficial Cup of Ferreira Brothers. Brian’s clippers took the first 3-2 game and won the last three clashes. Billy’s blue knights will be a div. 2 Sleeping if they stay out of Miaa Powers Top-10 ranking and should give Falmouth problems.
Archbishop Williams in Bishop Stang, 6 PM-Archies has 7-1-1 from the beginning of 1-3, accumulating signature victories over Milton, St. Mary’s (L), Nda (H) and Bishop Feehan. Bishop Stang (10-3) has shown that he can hang and look for another great game to reinforce his case as a contender. A victory of the Spartans makes the race for the title of the Central Catholic League really reduce the cable between these two and Bishop Feehan.
PLNR in Winthrop, 6 PM – Winthrop leaves a pair of extra time thrillers with Methuen/Tewksbury and Winchester, just sharpening this rematch. PLNR won the last game against the Vikings, 1-0, and has allowed the least goals in the state that entered Wednesday. Wait for another tight.
SATURDAY
Shrewsbury in HPNA, noon: young colonials have been a pleasant surprise as a real danger in the MVC/DCL large, winning at least once in each league team out of Methuen/Tewksbury and HPNA. Shrewsbury gets revenge against both after Leominster on Wednesday, and we will mount the parity wave supporting it here.
Reading in Woburn, 2 pm – Round 1 went to Woburn in extra time in bubank. Waiting for another thriller between two enemies of Liberty of the strong Middlesex League.
Winchester in Belmont, 6:10 PM-Belmont (11-0-1) has passed all the tests to remain undefeated so far, but reds and blacks are the only team that has not lost it. Winchester is a “annoying” night watch, so this is another exclusive challenge for merodiers.
METHUEN/TEWKSBURY IN BILLERICA/CHELMSFORD, 7:40 PM – We have chosen the Lindians in each great game and suffer the consequences. They follow the Red Rangers for only two points in the race for the Grande MVC/DCL title, and lost them closely in OT in Methuen before. Much to say about the 8-0-2 record of Methuen/Tewksbury in games of one goal or less, although the Lindians are 6-2.
