Vic Fangio was the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers when the team played the Baltimore Ravens in the Superdome in the Super Bowl XLVII.
The Ravens beat the 49ers for the second Super Bowl title of the team, but the game was tarnished by a blackout due to a partial blackout that hit the stadium. The Super Bowl paused for 34 minutes. The 49ers had a 17-0 race to return to the game. Finally, the Ravens kept their opponents for victory 34-31.

Fangio is now the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles and, more than a decade later, he is back in the Superdome to lead the defense against a team of the heads of Kansas City of Alto Octano. He commented on the Blackout Bowl during the opening night of the Super Bowl Lix on Monday.
“I thought it was a terrorist attack,” he said.
